WHITTINGTON, Elizabeth Marie (Haskell)…
Peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Monday, July 9, 2018, Elizabeth “Betty” Whittington of London, Ontario, in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Glenn (1990). Cherished mother of Debra and Frank Rastin of Belmont, Nancy and Rick Killby of St. Catharines, and Mary-Liz and Joe Whalls of London. Predeceased by her daughter Susan (2006). Special Grandma to 11 grandchildren and their spouses, and 3 great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Donna McRitchie, Patricia Noftle, and Ruth Demaiter. Predeceased by her sister Isabelle Flight and brother Lloyd Haskell. She will also be forever remembered and missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Betty worked for Bell Canada for over 40 years. Following her retirement, Betty enjoyed many years of playing bridge with her friends. The family would like to thank the many teams at Victoria Hospital that cared for her with such compassion and kindness over the past 3 weeks. Family and friends will be received at A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 11 am at the Church of the Epiphany, 11 Briscoe Street West, London, ON N6J 1L8. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. Here’s a post you all want to read. Hilda’s granddaughter was recently competing the World Karate Competitions in Ireland and caught the eye of up and coming rock star songstress KT Tunstall. KT was so impressed she reshot her Video Human Being featuring Hilda’s granddaughter doing a nunchuks demonstration. Very Cool.

….Peacefully, with family by her side at Victoria Hospital, London, Lee Fitzgerald in her 91st year passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016. Dear mother of Lynda Betcherman and Philip of Thunder Bay. Dear grandmother of Benjamin Betcherman, Tasha Betcherman (Andre Evdokimoff), new great-grandson Aleksei. Loved by her great-grandson Austin. Also loved by dear cousins Jim and Mae Carswell. A host of special friends especially, George and Barb Smallman, Jean Bonin and family, Eleanor Woods and family, the Coffee Club at Tim Hortons, the Congregation at The Church of the Epiphany and other dear friends and neighbours. Friends will be received by the family on Monday, November 7, 2016 from 10-11 am at The Church of the Epiphany, 11 Briscoe Street West, London where the funeral service will be held at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada 420 East Street North, Sarnia, ON N7T 6Y7 would be appreciated. Cremation has taken place.
