Green Gators Remember

Several years ago after our annual Service of Remembrance we noticed children’s artwork attached to the fence around the cenotaph courtyard. After a little sleuthing we discovered that the Western Daycare “Orange Owls” had visited and left a Remembrance Day inspired piece of art. We contacted Western Day Care and found that one of the teachers, Julia had been bringing her class over each Remembrance Day. We got in touch with Julia and from that day the Orange Owls, and this year, the Green Gators have been sharing Remembrance Day with us.
Unfortunately, during the last two Remembrance Days the children have not been able to walk over to the cenotaph,
so we have been visiting them at the school instead.
